What is the difference between a legal and
a private test?
The only difference between the private
test and the legal test is the witnessing during sample collection.
If you require a legal test, you must attend an appointment for
sample collection so that you can be properly identified by photography
and fingerprinting. The private test is intended for families who
need to know the truth so that they can plan the next step. For
private tests, you can collect the samples yourself in the privacy
of your own home. The accuracy is the same as the legal test. The
only difference is that there is no formal witnessing during the
collection process. If you need a legal test, please call us at
1-877-714-6358 to arrange an appointment for sample collection.

"always been
rumors..."
There have always been rumors that my oldest
child is not mine. To find out once and for all, I ordered a DNA paternity
test. It took just two minutes to collect the DNA sample and to ship
the kit back to the lab. In just days, we found out conclusively that
my eldest child is indeed mine. This will put the rumors to rest once
and for all. If I had known that such a service was available earlier,
I would have had it done a long time ago.

"eliminate
confusion..."
My husband and I have been married for over
15 years. Recently, a woman who had dated my husband over 19 years
ago called him and told him that he was the father of her 18 year
old son. We were shocked. My husband had only dated her for a week
and she was also seeing other people at the time. We ordered the
private paternity test to ensure complete confidentiality and found
out that there was 0% chance that my husband was the father of her
child. We are glad that such a service exists to eliminate confusion
in what could have been a very embarrassing and life-changing accusation.

"no
longer have to live with the guilt..."
I have been happily married to my husband for over 8 years and we have two children
together, a 5 year old son, and a 7 year old daughter. Early in our relationship,
I had an extramarital affair. Although I knew that most likely my husband is
the biological father of our daughter, I was very afraid that there was a small
possibility that she was not his. I did not want to bring this up with him and
did not want to involve him in a paternity test. I spoke with your laboratory
and your staff suggested that I could get the sibship test to determine whether
my two children are full or half siblings. I immediately jumped at the opportunity.
After testing both children, the results indicated that they in fact do share
both parents in common. I was very relieved and now no longer have to live with
the guilt of thinking that there is a chance that my husband is not the father
of our daughter. -- M. Evans, Bloomington IN
"conclusive
evidence..."
For over five years, my husband was paying
child support for his ex-girfriend's child even though there were rumors
that this child might not be his. The child's mother insists that my
husband is definitely the father of her child despite the rumors. One
day, I decided to order the home test just to make sure. The kit contained
swabs for collecting a sample from the mouth. The collection was surprisingly
simple, taking just minutes. In less than one week, the test provided
conclusive evidence that there was 0% chance that my husband was the
father of this child. We brought the documents to the mother who later
confessed that there were two other guys who may be the father of the
child. -- J. Corbett, Summerville SC "after
38 years..."
I am 38 years old and just found out recently
that the man that I though was my father my whole life might not be
my biological father. I ordered the private test to check this and
found out that this was in fact true. I questioned my mother, who told
me the name of the man who is my biological father. It took me three
months to track him down. When I finally found him, he agreed to have
the test done. The paternity test conclusively demonstrated that this
stranger was indeed my true biological father. After 38 years, I am
now getting acquainted with another branch of my family. --D. Harden,

Understanding the Relevance of the Number of Loci tested and How it Affects your Test.
When a paternity test is performed, the laboratory
examines a number of different genetic locations (called "loci").
The more locations that are examined, the more powerful and accurate
your test becomes. Currently, for high quality paternity tests,
at least 16 genetic locations are examined in order to provide you
with conclusive results.

"we
had just gotten engaged..."
My girlfriend just gave birth to a baby boy. I knew that there was a small chance
that he would not be mine because at the time that he was conceived, we were
both seeing other people. We have just gotten engaged to be married and decided
that we should find out the truth and that the child also deserved to know the
truth. After one very nervous week of nail biting, I received my results from
the laboratory indicating that the child was definitely mine. Thank you for helping
our family.
