DNA Twin Test
Discreet, Safe and Accurate Testing
We use a non-invasive, pain-free DNA collection method for Twin testing and DNA analysis. Using the latest technology, a buccal cell sample taken from the inside of the mouth is now the newest and most recommended method for sample collection. A buccal cell sample can be collected quickly, painlessly and discreetly using the home collection kit.
How to Read a DNA Twin Test Report
Conclusions: There are two possible outcomes in a DNA Twin test:
1. Identical Twins. Identical twins will have exactly the same DNA profile as identical twin originate from the same sperm and egg. If the twins are identical twins, the report will clearly state that they are identical twins.
2. Fraternal Twins. Fraternal twins will not have the same DNA profile as fraternal twins originalte from two different sperm fertilizing two different eggs. If the twins are fraternal twins, the report will clearly state that they are fraternal twins.

What if the parties to be tested live in different cities?
If the parties to be tested living different cities or different countries, the kit can be split and sent to each individual separately. The kits are indivdividually barcode labelled so once the samples arrive back at the laboratory, they will be sted together. To order a split kit, please write the following into the comments box of the online order form when you place the order “Please split kit. Please send one of the twin’s portion of the kit to: (first twin’s name and address), and please send the other twin’s portion of the kit to: (second twin’s name and address).”
